hey, I am Merv
Mervyn John, "Merv" for short, is a freelance photographer and videographer based in Jefferson City, Missouri. Practicing the art of photography for the past 11 years and videography for 4 years, Mervyn was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa, but raised in Jefferson City, MO. Mervyn migrated to the United States with his parents in 2002 to start a new life.
He got into photography during family gatherings when the adults asked some of the kids to take pictures of them. Mervyn was always picked to take pictures which eventually sparked his love for the hobby. Mervyn's goal is to capture the happiest and most underlooked parts of life.
